Mental Health & Substance Abuse Recovery Advisory Committee
The roles and responsibilities of the Mental Health and Substance Abuse Recovery Advisory Committee include: (1) Develop and approve Chippewa County Community Options Plan and plan update, (2) Advise Community Mental Health & Recovery Services on policies and procedures coming to the Health & Human Services Board that apply to consumers, (3) Prevention and early intervention i.e. wellness and recovery, suicide prevention, and (4) Advise Western Region Recovery & Wellness Consortium when requested on mental health and substance abuse issues. This is a 16 member committee. Members shall include one County Board Supervisor from the Health and Human Services Board and the remaining fifteen members being citizen members as representatives of the interested parties as set forth in Wis. Stats. ยง 46.27(3) and (4). Members are appointed for two, three and four-year terms. The committee meets every three months.
