Planning & Zoning Committee
The Planning & Zoning Committee provides policy oversight to the Planning & Zoning Department including land records and GIS responsibilities. The committee consists of five County Board Supervisors that are appointed for a two-year term as set forth in Wis. Stats. ยง 59.69(2). One of the County Board Supervisors shall also be a member of the Land Conservation and Forest Management Committee. The Committee meets monthly.
PLEASE NOTE: The Chippewa County Code of Ordinances has been completely reviewed, amended and adopted in order to codify Resolution 39-11. That resolution adopted proposals to restructure the Chippewa County Committees, Boards and Commissions to accommodate the downsizing of the Chippewa County Board of Supervisors from 29 to 15 supervisors in April 2012.
The former Land, Forest & Parks Committee was eliminated and the responsibilities of that committee were transferred to the Planning and Zoning Committee, the Land Conservation & Forest Management Committee, and the Facilities & Parks Committee.
