The County Board meets monthly and is comprised of fifteen elected supervisors representing each of the districts in the county. The general powers of the County Board are provided under Wis. Stats.59.07 and are exercised through the resolutions and ordinances it adopts. The Board acts similarly to the state legislature in that it is a policy-making body of the County government. It establishes county ordinances, levies taxes, passes laws concerning law enforcement and appropriates money for services.
