Substance abuse (meth and opioids) has become a serious problem in our Department of Human Services. The rapid increase of meth use has resulted in high caseloads and safety concerns of children and families. It also impacts other Chippewa County Departments, schools, law enforcement, legal community, service providers, health care organizations, and the community as a whole. Chippewa County is collaborating with other county and state partners/agencies to identify the root cause of substance abuse and develop a culture that supports family health and keeps children safe. Below are links to websites and documents to provide you with information and education on this VERY IMPORTANT issue.
