Chippewa Co. Land & Water Resource Management Plan Update

As part of ongoing program efforts, the Chippewa County Land Conservation & Forest Management Committee has initiated a planning process to update the Chippewa County Land & Water Resource Management Plan.

As part of the public participation process, the County has assembled a Citizens Ad Hoc Advisory Group, composed of stakeholders representing a range of public interests, including agriculture, forestry, mining, and tourism.

The Citizens Ad Hoc Advisory Group will meet on Wednesday, July 11, July 25, and August 22, 2018, from 6:30 – 9:00 p.m. in Room 3 of the Chippewa County Courthouse.  Members of the public are invited to attend.

To assure full opportunity for structured input, a series of focus questions have been prepared for use by the advisory group and members of the public.  All written responses will be compiled, posted, and considered as part of the plan revision.

A formal public hearing will be scheduled upon completion of the planning process, which is anticipated in late fall.

A copy of the existing plan, focus questions, and supporting meeting materials are posted and will be continuously updated on the Chippewa County Dept. of Land Conservation & Forest Management website at http://www.co.chippewa.wi.us/government/land-conservation-forest-management/land-water-conservation/chippewa-county-land-water-resource-management-plan
